“Mompelaar” now on Vimeo.com

Back in 2007, Wim Reygaert and Marc Roels filmed the short black comedy “Mompelaar” on a shoestring budget. After being derided in their hometown by the Ghent Filmfestival jury, it went on to win Clermont-Ferrand SFF ’08 and was nominated for a Golden Bear in Berlin that same year. The film was later screened on dozens of festivals worldwide, from Morocco to Canada. Since “Mompelaar” was only available on an American compilation (Wholphin #9 from McSweeney’s), Marc and Wim decided to put it on the web, for free.
